- Anyone applying for a category A (motorcycle) or category B (passenger car) driving licence is issued a probationary driving licence.
- The probationary driving licence is issued when the theory and practical driving test is successfully passed.
- The probation period lasts three years. In case a traffic offence is commited and the licence is confiscated, the probationary period is extended by a year. The expiry date appears on the probationary licence.
